May 20 - 24 I Defensible Space Challenge "Declutter Your Gutter"

Creating and maintaining defensible space especially within the first five-feet of the home is critical to reducing the wildfire threat upon a home.

We challenge you to “Declutter Your Gutter” and receive a  FREE YETI Mug! Take a “before” and “after” picture and email it to “LWF@unr.edu or post it to social media using #NWAM2024 to receive your mug. *Limited supplies available, first come first serve*

The dates of the contest last from May 20 – May 24, 2024. All Nevadans are encouraged to apply. University of Nevada, Reno Extension’s Living With Fire Program is hosting this contest which is part of the Nevada Wildfire Awareness Campaign. If you have questions, email LWF@unr.edu . Nevadans can enter by emailing their before and after photos of someone decluttering their gutter at LWF@unr.edu or can post their pictures on Facebook, X or Instagram using the hashtag, #NWAM2024. Winners will be notified via email before or by May 31, 2024. Winners will have one month from the time that they were notified to claim their YETI mug. There are twelve YETI mugs available. Winners will be awarded a mug on a “first come, first serve basis” until prizes last.
