Defensible space is when the landscape and vegetation are managed on your property to reduce the wildfire threat. We recommend a coupled approach of creating defensible space and hardening your home to withstand wildfire.

The following professionals have completed the Living With Fire 10-hour Defensible Training for Landscape Professionals in the last three years. This training includes instruction on wildfire behavior, defensible space, and creating aesthetically-pleasing landscapes that reduce the wildfire threat.
